Do you want to play a crucial role in shaping Jet Global products?
Add a new keyword called Remove : https://jetsupport.jetreports.com/hc/en-us/articles/219402947-Jet-Professional-Keywords-
This keyword will remove the line or column when the report is being scheduled.
Why do we need this : Ofter our user send reports to my customers and vendors,
hide is nice but the user can stil unhide from Excel, would it not be great to a REMOVE keyword that will totally remove the hidden line or column
It is fairly common. The REMOVE would likely have to coincide with a conversion to values for both Jet and Excel formulas and functions, however. We see a fair number of "I removed hidden rows/columns, and now I have #REF errors" complaints. Same thing would happen on a REMOVE scenario.
The desktop scheduler has removing hidden rows/columns as an option already. As we move to the web scheduler, I would imagine we would keep this feature. If it only removes rows/columns at time of scheduling, it seems it would be better to keep it as a scheduler option.
Does it make sense to have non-scheduled output remove rows/columns? Is this possible?
Scenario: Viewer (report with +Values) refreshes report. It removes all hidden rows/columns instead of just hiding. They share it with customer or vendor. They don't have to remove hidden manually.
Is this common?
