Do you want to play a crucial role in shaping Jet Global products?
This suggestion is to allow an Excel table to be accepted in the Table parameter of the NL Function the same way that a NAV table is now accepted. The benefit here is that static row worksheets with many NL(Sum) functions could be made to run much more quickly, especially over Web Access connections with high latency.
Rather than sending hundreds of NL(Sum) queries to the servers, one would run a single NL(Table) to retrieve all the data and then run NL(Sums) against that to produce formatted statements. A standard balance sheet and income statement set is a perfect example of where this would work.
I realize that Jet Enterprise works this way however many clients cannot afford Enterprise. This suggestion would be quickest way for you to speed up their responses and keep them in the Jet fold. It appears that you already have an Excel connector so you would just have to implement that as part of Jet Professional 18.2.0.
