Do you want to play a crucial role in shaping Jet Global products?
Version 20.5 of the Jet Hub removed the ability to download a packaged Excel add-in installer directly from the Jet Hub, for simplified installation on office workstations. This helped to avoid having to manually input activation code, secret key, server address, Jet Hub address, etc during an install. It would be nice to have this back in a future release.
Hi Rob, I tried restarting the jet service tier service after seeing your comment on this, but there is still no link after waiting 15 minutes (we're running version 20.5.20042.1 currently). Jet support previously indicated that the download link functionality has in fact been disabled - which is what brought me here to submit this as an idea. I had hoped your method would work anyway, but it looks like this idea does need to be considered because the feature really is gone.
Hello Brian, this feature has not been removed. It has just been fixed. If you restart the Jet Service Tier service on the server, then the custom installer will be built (this takes around 15 minutes). You will then see the download icon in the Jet Hub.
